Monitor mode does not capture data or eapol frames.

Hi, I am currently trying to debug an issue with the AWUS1900 not capturing data or eapol frames when in monitor mode, I am running kali 2021.3 release on vmware fusion. I only seem to receive probe req/resp, beacon, and VHT/HE NDP Announcement, and Action Ack frames.

I have confirmed there are in fact data frames sent in my vicinity by using an older linksys wifi adapter and also forcing eapol frames by authenticating with another device. I have also lowered my access point to a 802.11b network just in case there was any modulation issues.

Things I have tried:

• other drivers
• USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 mode switch
• USB 3.1 vmware compatibility
• #32 patch
• different cables + different antennas
• killing all interfering processes
• creating a separate virtual monitor interface
• power_save mode off
• increasing txpower

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
