EFA node Exporter for Prometheus

Scripted fork of the Prometheus Node Exporter and ProcFS repositories to export Amazon EFA metrics counters on compatible instances including c5n, hpc6ad, P5, P4.

1. How to run the collector

To create the docker image run:

git clone https://github.com/aws-samples/awsome-distributed-training.git
cd awsome-distributed-training/4.validation_and_observability/3.efa-node-exporter
make

Then you can execute it, i.e.

# alternatively you can run:
# make run
docker run -d \
  --net="host" \
  --pid="host" \
  -v "/:/host:ro,rslave" \
  node_exporter_efa:latest \
  --path.rootfs=/host

Now you can make sure the metrics are being correctly exported by running:

curl -s http://localhost:9100/metrics | grep amazonefa

You should see a bunch of metrics like the following:
