So, I added your Quirky Tripper device handler to my hub. It appears in the "My Device Handlers" list. I don't see any indication of it using my iphone's mobile app. I read somewhere that I needed to simply add a new device under "My Devices", so I did that and while the device shows up on my mobile app, it's obviously not connected with the actual device. I don't see how I'm supposed to do the pairing. Do you have some instructions for a person who has only been using a Smartthings hub for 1 day and needs to move devices over from Wink?

Ok, after more than an hour of trying to get it to connect, etc., I finally noticed the "Scan nearby" button and tried that. After waiting a long time more, I noticed that it was able to find the Tripper device which was previously connected to the Wink hub. It still doesn't seem to find the other Tripper device which has never been connected anywhere. This will do for now, however.

Thanks for the device handler work! I really do appreciate it!

Hello @rajid

I've actually only paired Trippers using SmartThings Classic app. They all appear in the "New" App when you do this. However ColinW managed to make them connect in the "New App" - see his forum post at https://community.smartthings.com/t/quirky-tripper-support/8623/284.

If this doesn't work for that Tripper - I'd suggest you try downloading the SmartThings Classic app and adding from there. (Go to Things at top and press the plus sign). Welcome to SmartThings! I switched 4 years ago from Wink - have 32 Trippers plugging happily along.

Best,
Alec
