Hello,
Despite some searching I could not find why Pirrot does not work with the usb audio card (tested several) on my rpi3+.
I have disabled all audio devices in the OS, except the USB sound card. In Pirrot the pulse audio is set as the default card. It does not work and cannot be changed, it seems.
I am not a linux specialist, that is why I am now trying to get tips on how to get it working via this forum.
Thanks in advance for the responses.

Do you have one of these because they worked on older Debian releases, but refuse to work on never releases, IIRC. Try if the audio comes from the Line Out and you can record on the Line In port. Use Audacity, or sox.
Ive got a similar problem, no matter what USB SC I use its got no audio in, the audio out is extremly quiet, alsa doesnt do shit and the no audio in is cause for some stupid fuckin reason it REFUSES to see the mic input
My homemade interfaces work fine on linux and windows but as soon as its on pirrot,ASL or open repeater all I get for a audio input is either the left or right channel and no matter what mic cant be selected anywhere
