Should we build a text to speech function for posts?

Audio articles could present front-end users with a more convenient way to consume the content on our websites, particularly the longer more dense articles.

There are a few questions we'd need to settle on to scope this out properly.

• How do we approach this from a multilingual perspective? Can we create a solution that works for many/all languages?
• Will this create problems for us in terms of hosting? Would we want to prioritise features that optimise the audio file?
• Text-to-speech libraries vary significantly in quality. How important is the quality of the speech? Does it need to have a more natural tone, cadence etc?
