This should be the original protocol used on GOMECC-4 and that era of projects, where Sterivex was run dry and frozen without preservative, and beads were not added until time of extraction.

  • Add this protocol
  • Indicate in both protocols that volume filtered can vary by project and environment (1-2 L in coastal environments; ~8 L in open-ocean environments) and turbidity (less volume for more turbid water)
  • Convert markdown to html and docx
  • Issue release v1.1.0 (referenced in the noaa-aoml-gomecc4 FAIRe spreadsheet with Miwa's manuscript)

@sammyharding Could you help with this? Essentially we want to make a new protocol for the old way of doing Sterivex sampling.
