Question

Hello,

I am new to Hertzbeat and started experimenting today, thank you for your work !

I have discovered that the web-app does call googletagmanager with your ID configured here https://github.com/apache/hertzbeat/blob/master/web-app/src/index.html#L11-17.

I am hosting this application in the EU and I'd like it not to tell an american company what I'm doing. Also more generally from my point of view, googletagmanager is not compatible with self-hosting and should not be mandatory.

I think you should consider removing the google tagmanager dependency.

Have a good day and good luck with the project !

Hi, thanks for feedback. Got it.
How about we use the Apache Foundation self-hosting analytics. @zhangshenghang https://analytics.apache.org/index.php #2764 Or we can provide configuration for users to decide whether to enable it.

I think both the apache analytics and a way to disable it (while letting it enabled by default) would be perfect

Hi Justin, Zeylos.
Thanks for the reminder, we will use ASF-hosted analytics to replace Google analytics. And provide a way to diasble it later.
