Would it be somehow possible to make the calculated previews downloadable? I mean, since it has been converted already, maybe the nextcloud download menu could be extended to a "Download JPG" funcionality?

I happen to just drop raw files into nextcloud and especially when sending it to other people that dont have the means to develop the raw files themself, it would be great if they could just download format they can actually view....

Thanks!

@tilllt That would be a nice feature, I agree. I am not aware of any nextcloud interface to extend the download menu. Maybe as a "open with" context menu or something. If you/anyone see a similar feature with other app maybe I could take a look.

The video converter extension extends the dropdown menu:

There is also this HEIF to JPG converter extension, i think it also extends the context menu.

@tilllt Thank you these tips.
I am not totally convinced of implementing this. As this app only extracts previews and does not generate them, it will sometimes not work or give a poor quality image, thus creating more work for me later down the road ;)
