As you may already read, point 8. of our roadmap brings real-time data refresh functionality for the address/bundle page.
Our initial plan had been to include that functionality free of charge, but after a while, a small discussion was opened and one of our prominent community members expressed his opinion that such functionality should be paid for. We hadn't got any other discussion about that topic after that, so that stance was defined as a starting point in the utilization document discussion too.
However, it looks like that stance doesn't fit all the community members. Not just that, one of our members expresses a pretty firm opposite stance:
I should emphasize that almost everything in ASA Stats is subject to change if discussion outcomes with a need for change. There are some aspects that I - as a member of the Team - would veto against, but this surely isn't one of them.
I should remind those who are familiar with the topic that we did have a series of discussions about the technical aspect of this functionality in our Discord. The fact is that we can implement a pseudo-real-time refreshing in a matter of minutes/hours: we can force refreshing a page by a client-side Javascript code every minute or so.
When we talk about the real real-time data refreshing then we think about something completely different: our roadmap's point 8. implies refreshing of data whenever your account changes. That can be even every 4.4 seconds (after every block) if your account contains some highly traded ASA, but the point is that the page is refreshed by an event triggered from our/server side after a new block in the blockchain brings a change.
What do you think about this topic?
