Governor Seats Update 2022-06-20

This Update defines two additional governors from the ASA Stats community, an additional governor from the Algorand community, an update to the number of votes for the ASA Stats titleholders, and an update to the number of votes for the most prominent governors from the ASA Stats community. All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

The allocation of ASASTATS to the governor seats will start on the 29th of June, 2022.

ASA Stats community governors

Two members of the ASA Stats community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. Related ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

Here are the new governors listed by their GitHub usernames, together with the related amount of ASASTATS/votes that will be allocated to their governor seats:

Algorand community governors

One member of the Algorand community is selected to become a new ASA Stats governor. 500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated to the governor's seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to the governor.

  As defined in the Open Letter, four governor seats are reserved for the members of the Algorand community. This update selects Sai from Algorand Name Service as one of those governors. Sai has got a major role in the integration of ASA Stats in ANS profile pages and helped with other issues beneficial to the ASA Stats project in general.

ASA Stats community titles change and related governors' votes update

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the newly selected ASA Stats title holders.

ASA Stats community governors votes update

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the prominent members of the ASA Stats community.

Here are the governors listed by their GitHub usernames, together with the related amount of additional ASASTATS/votes that will be allocated to their governor seats:

Methodology

An amount of 1,236,068 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new governor seats coming from the ASA Stats community.

An amount of 500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated from the Giveaway Pool in the DAO Giveaway for the new governor coming from the Algorand community.

An amount of 1,854,102 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new ASA Stats titleholders.

An amount of 618,034 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the prominent ASA Stats community governors.

I feel honored, thank you for this opportunity. I formally accept and am excited to be a part of the ASA Stats community.

I instantly developed an admiration for the open-sourced codebase and the DAO structure, which is everything I stand for. And to top it off, ASA Stats has entered the game early and is far ahead of the curve. At the moment, I don't think any other analytics app or project displays such an accurate portfolio of your Algorand wallet that includes even the amount that has been leveraged on DeFi apps and limit orders on DEXes such as Algodex.

Those were the main reasons why I advocated for integrating ASA Stats in the algo.website project and I have been an active user of the application for the past three months now.

And today, I am excited to assume a more active role in contributing to the ASA Stats project as a DAO governor.
