Governor Seats Update 2022-09-23

This Update defines two additional governors from the ASA Stats community, two additional governors from the Algorand community, and an update to the number of votes for the most prominent governors from the ASA Stats community. All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

The allocation of ASASTATS to the governor seats will start on the 4th of October, 2022.

ASA Stats community governors

Two members of the ASA Stats community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. Related ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

Here are the new governors listed by their GitHub usernames, together with the related amount of ASASTATS/votes that will be allocated to their governor seats:

Algorand community governors

Two members of the Algorand community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. 500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

As defined in the Open Letter, four governor seats are reserved for the members of the Algorand community. With this update, those four seats are now occupied and it's expected that a discussion will be opened about a need for extending that number and so allow more Algorand community members to become ASA Stats DAO governors.

Here are the new governors listed by their Discord / GitHub usernames and with the reasoning for selecting them as the new ASA Stats governors:

  This update selects patrick.algo from NFDomains as a governor selected from the Algorand community. patrick.algo has provided key information and helped with the integration of the NFD service into ASA Stats.

  This update selects 0xZer0 from FXDX as a governor selected from the Algorand community. 0xZer0 has provided key information and helped with the integration of various FXDX services into ASA Stats.

ASA Stats community governors votes update

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the prominent members of the ASA Stats community.

Here are the governors listed by their GitHub usernames, together with the related amount of additional ASASTATS/votes that will be allocated to their governor seats:

Methodology

An amount of 1,236,068 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new governor seats coming from the ASA Stats community.

An amount of 1,000,000 ASASTATS will be allocated from the Giveaway Pool in the DAO Giveaway for the new governor coming from the Algorand community.

An amount of 3,090,170 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the prominent ASA Stats community governors.
