Governor Seats Update 2023-03-31

This Update defines six additional governors from the ASA Stats community, three additional governors from the Algorand community, and an update to the number of votes for the most prominent governors from the ASA Stats community. All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

The allocation of ASASTATS to the governor seats will start on the 11th of April, 2023.

ASA Stats community governors

Six members of the ASA Stats community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. Related ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

Algorand community governors

Three members of the Algorand community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. 500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

All the dedicated seats for the members of the Algorand community - as defined in the Open Letter - are occupied, so this document defines that the funds for three new governor seats will be allocated from the DAO Pool.

Here are the new governors listed by their Discord/GitHub usernames, together with the reasoning for selecting them as the new ASA Stats governors:

• @rylierueda
  This update selects Rylie from GARD as a governor selected from the Algorand community. Rylie had a key role in explaining to the ASA Stats community why the GARD protocol is the best option for the ASA Stats DAO governance staking program.

• johny.algo
  This update selects johny.algo from now discontinued Deridex as a governor selected from the Algorand community. johny.algo put a lot of effort into resolving problems with the Deridex implementation in ASA Stats.

• agash.algo
  This update selects agash.algo from Rand Gallery as a governor selected from the Algorand community. agash.algo provided an access token for the Rand Gallery API and helped resolve issues with the implementation.

ASA Stats community governors votes update

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the prominent members of the ASA Stats community.

Methodology

An amount of 3,708,204 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new governor seats coming from the ASA Stats community.

An amount of 1,500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Giveaway Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Giveaway to the new governor seats coming from the Algorand community.

An amount of 3,090,170 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the prominent ASA Stats community governors.
