Is a single mockfolio enough for free users?

The advanced/professional users should be limited by their tiers, but the main question is would a single portfolio for free be enough, or do we have to increase that to 5?

While we'll still need to organise what the tier system will look like and what features to embed within, I think a single portfolio for free is enough.. That is the most basic thing.. If a user wishes to enjoy additional features, then they're most welcome to consider meeting up with the requirements of whatever tier they so prefer.

Yes, but they have 5 addresses for free, so it's logical that they have the same number of mocks so they can track their success.

A provider offering two mockfolios and two free addresses would be a much better opportunity than 1+5 for plenty of users.

Its tough.. i think as well that 1 mockfolio per free user is enough. On the other hand what ipaleka said makes sense too!
Is this maybe also a question of how to identify "one user"? Would that be via wallet address or IP or simply cache (i'm a tech noob btw haha). 2+2 sounds better than 1+5 BUT free users already have access to the 5 address feature, and that will not be taken away from them. So we already lost the possibility of 2+2. therefore i think 5+1 is the next best option.

I meant to say that some other provider would in some cases beat ours 5 addresses for free just by offering 2 mockfolios + 2 addresses.

I think 5+1 is fine. After all, unless it's IP limited, they can simply open another tab for another mockfolio, if they wish. Or were you planning to restrict access by IP address, or require login or wallet connect?

Free users will be defined probably by their browsers, so one user settings per browser. IP will be used for throttling, probably not for this.

So no new tab, but Chrome + Firefox may probably work as (5+1) * 2.

What's the difference between a mockfolio and a wallet address portfolio?

From this repository README:

Mock portfolio builder you could use to create hypothetical investment profiles.

So basically you create/design an "address" with imaginary amounts of ASA in it and track it just the way you track your real address/bundle.
