When trying to show a translation in a new tab after selecting text in the extension options page and clicking the "Translate selection" context menu item, the extension didn't open the tab at all. This has been fixed.

- The translation of the extension UI to German and Croatian has been completed. Again, thank you very much to all the international contributors!
- Update the list of target languages with the 24 new languages that are now supported by Google Translate.
- A lot of under the hood changes to develop the extension from the ground up using technologies like Lit, Typescript and Webpack which will make its development much easier from now on.
There have also been some minor improvements, like improving the options page design, and preventing the horizontal scrollbar from appearing in the options page in Edge.
Announcement: Canary channel (nightly builds)
From now on, you can download nightly builds of the extension by joining this Google Group and downloading the canary version here. You'll be able to text experimental features like this one and help find bugs.

Thanks to all the international contributors (thank you so much!), the extension UI was translated to several new languages, and updates were made to already supported languages.
- Added UI translations for Czech, Slovak, and Ukrainian.
- Updated UI translations for German, Dutch, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
Also, old notifications which appeared when upgrading from an old version to explain new features have been removed.

- Status update (Jan 25, 2020): The rollout plan has been changed because of an issue outlined by a user in the CWS "Support" section. It might be possible that the issue is a known issue, a bug, or the fact that the user doesn't know how to change the language settings, but given that this is still unknown, the rollout has been stopped temporarily.
- Status update (Jan 30, 2020): We haven't heard back from the user, so we're continuing with the rollout. The dates have been shifted again (in particular, we will now wait 2 days until moving to a 20% rollout, just to be on the cautious side).
