Description

It's very difficult to use Amazon Pinpoint to record user events without Amplify. The v6 workflow has a special category and front-end library https://docs.amplify.aws/nextjs/build-a-backend/more-features/analytics/, https://docs.amplify.aws/nextjs/build-a-backend/more-features/analytics/record-events/. This integration ties directly with the authentication category. Rebuilding this with CDK is not straightforward as with the storage or functions category.

A new/updated library needs to be created to work with amplify-backend.
