We really want to be able to include all the packages required for Neuron in Amazon Linux.

The model of just being able to dnf install something makes it easy for customers to get started. Requiring extra steps makes it harder.

This subfolder needs to be more clear about how we're licensing this, specifically around the headers. Packaging this for dpkg/dyum is extremely straightforward (although it would be easier under its own repository), but clear licensing is a blocker.

Notable consumers that this impacts: downstream libfabric (debian sid salsa/fedora rawhide dist-git) are both forced to build without FI_HMEM_NEURON because of this.

Do these packages have a dependency on the aws-neuron-driver kernel driver? If so, then aws-neuron/aws-neuron-driver#6 should be fixed so that we can include the drivers in Amazon Linux, and other Linux distributions can also look at shipping the drivers.
