Issue Changing input language and translated languages

I have tried several time to follow the instructions under the Changing input language and Changing translated languages without success. Specifically, I have tried to change the input language to Spanish and have a secondary output as English. What I end up with are no captions seen on Spanish and a few Spanish captions on English. However all captions, both Spanish and English are being stored in DynamoDB under English. Has anyone been able to complete these steps with success?

it doesnt work for me also. ive found out the Docker container was hardcoding the language en when saving to table ignoring the settings for source language.

what i did is clone this repo, fix thae code in transcribe-to-dynamo-withSDK, push custom docker container and do a custom build for this cloudformation
