I have a Samsung 42 inch TV I am running this on. Since there is overscan and TVs the edges do not line up with the visible screen.
The desktop edges are wider than the visible screen, requiring a shrink of the desktop from all four sides.
The problem comes that when you shrink the desktop, some applications are also shrunk in full screen mode by that same amount, leading to noticeably ugly borders. Plex being one.
I have had the problem on the previous android 6 release, but so far not on the Android 5, since it has a built in screen overscan tool that actually works. Funny enough it also has a resolution choice.
