desktop on debian stretch

Running latest version at the time of this writing.
stretch-minimal-pine64-bspkernel-0.7.30-140.img.xz

Obtained scripts:

cd
git clone https://github.com/longsleep/build-pine64-image.git
cd build-pine64-image/simpleimage/platform-scripts

Install desktop. Issue: could not find packages:

./install_desktop.sh mate

Reading state information... Done
