Motivation

I am unable to see if log messages are attributed to a specific user or someone masquerading as them.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

When the user who was unknowingly being masqueraded as on the site was asked about the activity, they had no knowledge. This led to concerns about a compromised account.

Proposed Resolution

Describe the solution you'd like

Add the Masquerade Log contrib module to log the original username with changes in addition to the masqueraded ID.

Describe alternatives you've considered

None

Roles and Permissions considerations

A clear and concise description of how each of the following roles would be impacted by this change:

  • Anonymous user
  • Authenticated user
  • Content editor
  • Content administrator
  • Administrator
