Azavea will utilize Dask to develop a flood inundation map generation workflow from OWP’s Cahaba project. We will evaluate the workflow on Amazon EKS, a managed Kubernetes service that supports highly-available and secure clusters and facilitates task automation.

More info from the proposal:

Given a Relative Elevation Model, synthetic ratings curves per catchment, and catchment geometry, flood inundation maps can be produced that utilize discharge forecast from the NWM.

Looks like Cahaba is now called inundation-mapping https://github.com/NOAA-OWP/inundation-mapping
