Hi @b-r-u , would you be interested in transferring this repo to the https://github.com/georust community? This way we could have many more people working on it at the same time, and the library would have a lot more exposure. Thanks!

Hi @nyurik, thanks for all the PRs and feature ideas. I know I haven't been that responsive lately. But I'm still dedicated to this project and not ready to transfer this repo, yet. I will try to keep up with your input!

Thanks @b-r-u ! Would you be open to adding more people who can review/merge/publish changes to your repo? This would unblock many changes, and help move faster (while you still being BDFL)

@b-r-u sorry to ping you again - I understand you are busy, and you have given me a huge help to get started with this lib (and rust in general! :) ). I need some resolution on how to move forward - I am thinking of creating an osmpbf2 fork as part of the georust project that will support both read and write operations. We would be able to optimize lib performance, and move forward quicker. I am afraid this lib will fall by wayside otherwise - osmpbfreader is moving forward far faster, and while I don't like their API as much as yours, I think the community would benefit from more rapid development cycle.

Hello @b-r-u!

Another georust person here. I just wanted to chime in to clarify that you shouldn't feel any pressure to share maintenance duties with anyone unless and until you want to. Just speaking for myself, I'm happy to have you keep maintaining this as long as you are happy to keep maintaining this.

On a separate note, I did want to invite you to join us on discord if you wanna meet with other people using rust for gis. It's not only for georust/* projects. Typically it's people asking how to solve some GIS problem, or sharing resources like articles or conference talks.
