I am now proceeding with the following port:

Description:
SoundCloud Field provides a field for inserting a SoundCloud track or set into your content.

Features:

• Configurable player
• 2 player types: Classic or Visual player
• Embed code can be loaded server-side or via Javascript.

When displaying multiple tracks on a single page via Views, use Javascript to embed the player. This will limit the amount of server-side calls that are required and vastly improve the page load time.

I have already created an issue queue item informing the
Maintainers of the existence of the port, and offered
to include them in any capacity they wish. I also
stated that its creator, maintainer, sponsor and
licencing will be preserved in Backdrop CMS.
