When is it easier to "just use something else" (like Craft CMS)?

Pick and mix where each technology excels
Pick the simplest, fastest, way to do things ...
Until the app is paying for itself.

Functional programming does add quite a bit of overhead that other languages don't. I'm sure some things are much easier in Nuxt, or Django templates, or Craft CMS¹ twig templates (for instance, a simple looping block of elements).

Some things have to be done from scratch with Elm lang where there's no standard way of doing it.
