Background

There might be various reasons as to why people need to reinstall the wallet. Each time they reinstall the wallet, they also need to reacquire their credentials. This has observed to be a common occurrence. For example, people often experience issues with the wallet where reinstalling it is the only remedy or they have purchased a new phone (on average, every 2-3 years).

People are beginning to feel frustrated at the idea of reinstalling and reacquiring their credentials to resolve their issue.

"Is there a reason this happened? How do I prevent this from occurring again? My PIN was correct yet it was locking me out. There must be better remedies than counsel needing to delete the App and reloading their credentials every time. " - a BC Wallet user who had to reinstall and reacquire their credentials after experiencing an unknown error.

Situations where the issue is an error, there needs to be better ways to acquire more information on the issue to better investigate, identify and resolve the issue. #2316
