Bug: MacOS Sequoia Background Sounds not working with eqMac?

• I have checked for a similar issue and sure it hasn't been reported before.

Describe the bug
While eqMac is on, Background Sounds do not output.

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio > Background Sounds
2. Click on Choose > Rain

Expected behaviour
The sound of rain (or whatever background sound you've chosen) should be heard (even if music is playing).
Only when turning eqMac off, background sounds can be heard.

Setup information:

• Audio device used for playback: AirPods or MacBook Pro speakers
• Audio transmission interface: Bluetooth
• macOS Version: 15.1.1 (24B91)
• eqMac Version v1.8.7
