The people behind this project unfortunately don't publish build instructions and don't answer to all the issues people post about build errors, such as

you need to replace the Unix system commands with similar commands from the window. But it's better to just install Linux

I had similar issues and decided to use Ubuntu on Windows VMware. I eneded up using Node 12.2.0. And sudo apt-get install build-essential helped with the npm install issues
