Steps To Reproduce

The description below assumes that "Auto-fill on page load" has been enabled.

  1. Enable "Master-password re-prompt" for a login item.
  2. Launch the corresponding web page.
  3. If you are already signed into the page the Master-password re-prompt will still open a new window

Expected Result

Master-password re-prompt window should only appear when signing into a page

Actual Result

  1. Bitwarden will keep opening a new window every time I click a link on a web page already signed into like amazon, turbotax etc, which makes these sites practically unusable. The re-prompt window should not be opening up on sites I've already logged into. I've had to disable the autofill since it breaks site usability.

Your issue appears to be describing the intended behavior of the software. This behavior was changed recently, and was acknowledged here: #6412
