Production Build

  • I'm using the legacy Bitwarden app pubicly available in App Store / Play Store and I'm aware that Bitwarden Beta bugs should be reported in bitwarden/android or bitwarden/ios

Steps To Reproduce

When I create a login via the browser extension (Chrome) and/or the client app (iOS), it does not show up on my phone for a while, even if I refresh. I am unsure whether the problem is scoped to just those two.

I'm suspicious that repro steps won't be consistent, but here's the rough process

  1. Create a new login through the Bitwarden Chrome extension
  2. Pull up at top to refresh the logins list on phone app
  3. Assert that your new app is not there

Expected Result

The phone app should reflect the new account. This does not need to automatically update (which would probably require polling or a websocket connection that isn't worth the complexity), but should update if the user uses the refresh feature (pulling up from top of list).

Actual Result

The new login simply does not show up, even after attempting a refresh of the list.

Additional Context

Things I have tried:

  • The pull-up-and-refresh feature
  • Completely stopping and restarting the iOS app
  • Completely stopping and restarting the iOS client (in hopes this forced a "push" of all locally stored logins up to the cloud), then completely stopping and restarting the iOS app

I avoided filing this in bitwarden/ios because I do not think I installed a beta version of the app or opted in. I'm happy to move / crosspost this there if given direction to.
