Boris, Love the work you do so thanks. I'm a native python programmer, pretty new to R so please let me know if I'm not understanding properly.
It looks like you're not doing an optimization on any of the GMM components, but rather seems like the number of clusters are set in main.R. Are you picking the proper number of clusters by visual inspection of the means and standard deviations of the players ranks, or does MClust have something hidden that will optimize the clusters for you?
