interaction file format

Hello,

I want to include two interaction terms (timeg and generationg). Time and generation are categorical variables. The readme.md says that "the interaction term is a tab-delimited text file or dataframe mapping sample ID to interaction value(s) (if multiple interactions are used, the file must include a header with variable names)." Can you please further explain how to set up the interaction file? (if possible, can you provide an example?)
