Second attempt to migrate to Win 11 also failed. One minor issue was that I could not reinstall an old version of a software product, even after trying to add some patches. It was not compatible to the new version of .Net. Had to migrate and purchase the new version of the software product which did work. If someone can provide a fix or reason on the speed issues for Edge and Chrome, then I may try a third time to upgrade. |

I tried to run Flyby11 today to upgrade my non-conforming Win10 desktop using the default options. It ran very smoothly through all the steps, but the result was partly devastating. Luckily I did a full backup prior to doing the upgrade.
BEWARE!
The install will basically update your C partition to be like a new PC. All software will be lost and you will need to re-install everything on your C partition. The only thing left on the C partition is the new Win 11 OS.
Luckily I had the backup and was able to fall back to Win10 and all my software installed back on the C partition.
Before I attempt to do the update with Flyby11 again, I will make a list and snapshot of all the software installed on my C partition so that I can reload all the software again which will add considerably to the migration process.
Overall the default steps run by Flyby11 worked well.
