Highlight concatenates the text

When I use the highlight text it concatenates all the words:

I think the issue is with the pdf and not the extension. I have experienced the same with some pdfs and not others. Try with a different pdf.

True and hard to fix by post-processing.

I am experiencing this, too, on multiple PDFs that work fine with other annotation apps. I've tried re-OCRing it in Adobe Acrobat, but this doesn't work. Also tried OCR in Devonthink.
