How necessary is permanent data storage and if needed what possible solutions are for this to be provided?

Could be interesting to observe the progress of the patient.
RPI could directly save the data on a USB-FlashDrive, giving the data a name would be nice.
A RealTimeClock could be helpfull in this case, but is great anyway beacuse you have no need of internet conetcion.
