What's new in dpv v0.12?

uv support

With this new release, if installed, uv can be used to create virtualenvs and install new Python versions.

💡 What is dpv? dpv is a dead simple alternative to pyenv-virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper written in POSIX-compliant shell script. See installation instructions

Why not use uv directly?

You can, sure. And you likely will use uv even if you use dpv in your day to day, for the advanced or atypical things.

dpv is supposed to be your handy pal, for the simple things, so you don't have to learn new tools all the time.

At the end of the day, dpv will still use whatever is available in your system: uv, pyenv, or brew.

The default interactive shell is now zsh.
To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.
