What happened:

ceph mgr module enable influx

Error ENOENT: module 'influx' reports that it cannot run on the active manager daemon: influxdb python module not found (pass --force to force enablement)

What you expected to happen:

The influx module would become enabled in the ceph manager and ceph manager would send metrics to influxdb endpoint

How to reproduce it (minimal and precise):
See the "what happened".

Environment:

  • OS (e.g. from /etc/os-release):
    Ubuntu 20.04 with cephadm and ceph running in containers
  • Kernel (e.g. uname -a): 6.10.10-061010-generic #202409121037 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Sep 12 12:52:03 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • Docker version (e.g. docker version): podman version 3.4.4
  • Ceph version (e.g. ceph -v): ceph version 18.2.4 (e7ad5345525c7aa95470c26863873b581076945d) reef (stable)
