This is an open source version of DroidCam - Webcam for PC, which enables your phone to work as a webcam.
This app enable you to use Android phone's camera as a webcam on a Windows desktop
A Windows desktop, an Android phone, they are under same WiFi network with local network access
- Install the OpenCamera Windows software on your desktop, then install the OpenCamera Android app on your phone.
- Open the OpenCamera Windows software, it will create a virtual camera device, note that this app requires Admin privileges
- Find the IP of your desktop, and open your app on the phone
- Input the IP address of your desktop on the input box, click the "CONNECT" button
- Your desktop can use the camera through the app on your phone
- If you want to stop sharing, simply kill the app on your phone or click "DISCONNECT" button
Due to DirectShow, not all programs can use the virtual cam on your device.
