I use the built-in zsh version on the latest version of macOS. If you are copying parts of my config, and it does not work for you, it is most likely due to you using a different zsh version and/or not being on macOS.
- I don't use a zsh framework, since most zsh plugins are honestly little more than a few lines to be copypasted, see this critique of oh-my-zsh, which I mostly agree with.
oh-my-zshalso seems to affect performance, increasing zsh loading time considerably.
