Dropping into Sortable?

Hello! I was wondering if there's a way to enable dropping into a sortable in a way that provides intuitive animation (a gap opens above the cursor in the same way as dragging items already inside the sortable). I've played with some various approaches, but not having a lot of luck. I'm new to the library, so thought I might just be missing something obvious.

Ah okay, I just found the Multiple Containers examples - that should get me there.
