Cancel deployment

Hi,
Under which scenarios, the cancel deployment command returns "No active deployment found for app." error message?

I have pushed my application composed in a docker with rolling deployment option to the cloud foundry. I could see several revisions of my application. Though I couldn't cancel current deployment and switch to the earlier deployed version.
