Unfortunately, this is one of the limitations of the Android Accessibility API and Chrome itself, and there is no easy solution without using external hardware or tweaking the device in some other way (rooting, sending mouse events through a debugging interface, custom rom...). It seems that works slightly better for newer Android versions, but not completely and is heavily dependent on the contents of each web site. Perhaps you could try with other web browsers (in our tests we did not see major improvements) or with the navigation keyboard. |
Was this ever resolved? A friend is having issues with closing tabs 2 ys later |
Hi, I think things have moved on. I am using a different phone now, and an updated version of the facial mouse. I will try it again to see what results I get with the browser and post my results here. Cesar might have more info on the current status of this issue. |
Hi, along this week we plan to release EVA version 2.0.x which add some browser related improvements. On the other hand, we expect to start adding support for Android 7.x+ which allows us to unlock many limitations and provide a much richer interaction. |
I have installed Chrome on my phone and I am unable to click on any links, or menus in the browser. I am using:
