When creating a vis, ID (identifier) needs to be quanitative (and is mandatory). This is unintuitive. Wouldn't this ID really be qualitative despite being a number? #292

With the current implementation, there is a hard requirement for an ID and no easy workaround. We can think about that one. In MaV 2.0 I think we can move away from this more.

Qualitative is probably the better categorization, and makes no difference in the implementation. Assuming @katyb and @mginda have no objections, we can make that change. You will have to update references to this in the class.

Thanks, Bruce. This does not sound like a big enough issue to warrant a re-shoot of the Intro to MAV video. Let's table this one until the next MAV update after this 9/2020 instance of the course.
