User submitted issues: color graphic variable hue vs saturation

The MAV tool refers to "Color HUE," yet it sometimes displays it as distinct colors (like in picture A as "Hue") and other times as "Saturation" (picture B). Does it make sense? or no...

In my case, I think about picture B as an example of using "saturation" to a quantitative variable.
