The brigade map has red and gray brigade icons, and a legend that describes the red ones as "official" brigades. It's not clear what the gray ones are - I've clicked on some and seen references to being Code for Philly brigades. Is that incorrect? Is the color out of date? Does gray mean "Brigade network member" vs "official brigade chapter?" Suggest improving labelling, adding gray icons to legend, and possibly adding a third color if it's really a split between 1) official chapters, 2) network brigades, and 3) non-CFA-but-our-friends civic hacking groups abroad.

Hi Ben, yeah the gray ones mean Brigade network member.
I was really anti differentiating between them at all, because the differences don't really matter to the average user of the site. But by giving the Official Brigades, who have finished all their legal paper work with us, a little more shine, we are encouraging other groups to do their paperwork too.
I'll add a second row to the legend with the gray icon soon.
Entirely agreed - as a user of the site, I really don’t care.
Is there other language that could be used? I mean, it feels really weird to think of some brigades as “unofficial” because - as a Normal Human - there’s not really a distinction drawn anywhere else between Official/Network brigades; certainly none of the Brigade sites I’ve seen mention that distinction, including the merely-affiliate ones. For that matter, the brigade mini-sites (ie: http://www.codeforamerica.org/brigade/Hacking-Monterrey/) don’t mention it.
(I realize this is probably much bigger than a simple legend on a map and the terminology here was probably argued-over to death ages ago)
