Ideas

  • Needs it own website with details (for example virtconf.codemortals.io)
  • Get the community to help organise
  • Get the community to suggest speakers (all can be remote)
  • GitHub project board of virtual conference website t organise and assign
  • Run event like news room, have screen behind when people start, then make their screen primary for the main part of their talk

note: please add ideas below

Subject ideas with a journey in mind:

  • github (UI)
  • open source
  • github pages
  • git cli
  • what is UI / API
  • angular
  • nodejs
  • SQL / NoSQL
  • ...
What else? (I think some of these can be combined into a single talk)

The issue with Linux is, either it tends to be superficial or deep.

An overview, etc or how to get it installed, properly (my normal workshop is a two parter - takes 2 hours (its easy to get Linux installed, but harder to explain why certain things are done, how and what are the ramifications, and how to make sure you don't break it))

2 hours is quite long, can you do a quickstart version in 30-45mins?

I agree.

Once Linux is installed it is fairly simple, but its getting to that stage, across a range of potential machines (Win7, Win10, MacOS), which takes time.

And it is doing it properly. Let's think on this :)
