Our story

About the project:

This project is a group project for CODE University software engineering students, led by our professor Dr. Adam. We are working together to study climate changes at Tempelhof Feld. The goal is to understand how the area is changing using satellite images and weather data.

How We Got Started:

We started by visiting Tempelhof Feld. This helped us understand what kind of data we needed for the project. After discussing it, we decided to use Google Earth Engine for satellite images to calculate NDVI and we also agreed to use data about temperature, moisture, and humidity from the area.

How We Built It:

First, we worked on the API. This part takes all the data and organizes it so we can use it later. After the API was almost ready, we moved to the frontend. In this part, we are creating a website to show the data to the users.

How We’re Showing the Data:

On the website, we are using charts, graphs, and maps to show the data. For example, you can see how the NDVI numbers change over time, which shows the health of the vegetation. We also include temperature, humidity, and moisture data so users can have a complete idea of the climate changes in the Feld.
