while sitting in the terminal awaiting my flight to USA, I started looking into your contributions.

Since long I have been working on the workshop repository. I was expecting to see your contributions there as well :-)

At some point before the conference, we should get together and merge our work. I would prefer to use the workshop repository for that. In the interest of didactic exposition, I altered definitions slightly. E.g. in the RenderConfig everything field has a type of u16. The reason for this is that it allows for the reuse of a number parser.

I don't think that there will be big incompatibility. But we do need to discuss how to resolve the little once.

You mentioned that you are able to come to Dayton. I will be there later today, probably jet-lagged. Maybe we could arrange to see each other and work on the workshop?
