An arduino should be able to effectively drive a reward pulse by sending a serial signal with desired on duration. It would be paired with arduino code that receives the serial signal and turns a digital output on for the desired duration.
The point is both to make an example implementation of the use of something besides a nidaq for Output, and to provide an alternative to the use of a nidaq analog output for rewards.
