In covid-policy-modelling/covid-policy-modelling#1, we decided to remove Sentry from the UI in order to get something up and running quickly with minimal dependencies. This issue is to discuss whether it would be useful in future to add in some centralised logging/monitoring system, Sentry or otherwise:

  • What would it let us do that we can't get through Azure/Github logs?
  • Are there any concerns about sending info to an external service?
