There may be even something in between. You could also use a "blog-like" style. The team overview page shows a compact overview with the team, each member with photo and text+<more_link>. If the text per team member is too long for the team overview page, you can use the <more_link> to get to a page for this team member and the complete textual description. This should provide a compact overview when the team gets larger (10+ people) and member details when needed.
